2025 Small Scale Regional Events Grants

Through this initiative, IEA funded six $500 grants to support regional groups of IEA members, such as existing chapters or informally-connected groups of artists, in convening small-scale events that are designed
to strengthen local encaustic community and connections among regional artists. We envision funding proposals that include a longer-term goal to sustain the connections among regional artists into the future, beyond the funded event.

The grant proposals that were accepted clearly articulated how the proposed event would accomplish one or more of the following:

  • Provide opportunities for exchange of knowledge and continued learning among local artists

  • Provide opportunities for local groups to educate the public about encaustic painting

  • Given recent adverse events, such as floods and wildfires, that have affected members in regions across the US and around the globe, this grant may also be used to connect artists for mutual support as they begin to recover and rebuild their art practices.

We are pleased to announce our grant recipients for 2025-2026
